What is 8 Ball Pool?
8 Ball Pool is an online pool game from Miniclip. You play one-on-one matches of eight-ball against real people: break, pot all your solids or stripes, then sink the black 8 ball to win. Each match is played for coins, and winning lets you move up to more exclusive tables in different cities with bigger stakes.
It's been on Google Play since January 2013 and has passed a billion downloads, making it one of the most popular multiplayer games on Android. Part of its appeal is how simple it is to start: drag to aim, pull back the cue to set power, release to shoot. The depth comes from spin, angles and planning your next shot.
You can play friends or strangers, collect cues with better stats, and take part in seasonal events. It's one of the most-played sports games on Android, and a natural pick for anyone who likes quick head-to-head matches.

Key features
One-on-one online matches
Each match pairs you with another player at a table with a set entry fee in coins. The winner takes the pot. Higher-tier tables in different cities need more coins but pay out more.
Cues and upgrades
Cues have stats for force, aim, spin and time, and better cues make long or tricky shots easier. You can win, buy or unlock cues through events and the Pool Pass.
Spin and aiming
Set the cue ball's spin before you shoot to control where it goes after hitting another ball. Good spin control is the difference between potting one ball and clearing the table.
Play with friends, spectate and cheer
Challenge friends from your friends list, and with this update you can watch friends' games and cheer them on.
Events and seasons
Seasonal events and passes bring themed tables, cues and rewards, like the Día de los Muertos and Ocean Drive Heist events in this update.
Tips for winning more matches
Think one shot ahead: pick the ball that leaves the cue ball in a good position for your next pot, not just the easiest one now. Use less power than you think; soft shots are more accurate. Learn to use top and back spin to control where the cue ball stops. And don't move up to expensive tables too fast. Build your coins at tables where you win consistently.
8 Ball Pool rules in brief
Each player is assigned a group, solids or stripes, after the first ball is potted. Pot all seven of your group, then call a pocket and sink the 8 ball there to win. If you pot the 8 ball early, or in the wrong pocket, you lose. Fouls, such as potting the cue ball or hitting your opponent's ball first, give your opponent "ball in hand", letting them place the cue ball anywhere. Every match is timed, so think quickly.
How to install 8 Ball Pool APK on Android
Install 8 Ball Pool from Google Play if you can. Without Play Store, install the official game carefully.
- Check your phone runs Android 6.0 or newer.
- Get the game only from Google Play or Miniclip. Files promising free coins or aim assistance aren't official.
- If you downloaded the file from APKPeer, check that the SHA-256 matches the one on this page. We currently link to Google Play only, so there's no APKPeer file for 8 Ball Pool.
- Open the APK and allow your browser or file manager to Install unknown apps when Android asks.
- Tap Install, open the game, and connect a Miniclip, Google or Facebook account so your coins and cues are saved.
- Turn off the install permission under Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps.
Is 8 Ball Pool APK safe?
The official 8 Ball Pool APK is safe. It's published by Miniclip.com on Google Play and rated Everyone. Play marks it as containing ads and in-app purchases, from $0.10 to $299.99 per item, some of which include random items.
8 Ball Pool accounts are a frequent target. "Free coins" generators and people offering to sell coins or accounts are scams that steal logins. Only buy coins inside the game, and link your account so you can recover it.
Aim-assist apps that draw long guidelines, and modified APKs, are also common. They aren't from Miniclip, they break its terms, and Miniclip bans accounts that use them, often losing all coins and cues. APKPeer only links to the official game.
8 Ball Pool vs alternatives
- Carrom Pool brings the classic carrom board online with a similar one-on-one format.
- Ludo King is a relaxed dice game for playing with family and friends, with less skill and more luck.
- UNO! is the official mobile version of the card game, good for quick online rounds with friends.
For quick, competitive matches against real players, 8 Ball Pool remains the go-to pool game on Android.

Is 8 Ball Pool free?
Yes. 8 Ball Pool is free to download and play. Miniclip earns money from ads and optional in-app purchases, such as coins, cash and cues, which Google Play lists from $0.10 to $299.99 per item. Some purchases include random items. You can win coins by playing.
Can I play 8 Ball Pool with friends?
