What is World Cricket Championship 3?

World Cricket Championship 3, usually called WCC3, is a 3D cricket game from Nextwave Multimedia, a studio based in India. It's known for its detailed player animations, wide range of shots and deliveries, and commentary, which together make matches feel closer to a TV broadcast than most mobile cricket games.

You can play quick matches, full tournaments and a career mode where you create a player and build their career, plus online matches against other players. Formats range from short T20 games to longer matches, with a large choice of teams.

WCC3 has been on Google Play since September 2020 and has more than 10 million downloads. The September 2026 update added NPL 2026, the game's franchise-style T20 league. It's one of the most detailed cricket games among the sports games on Android.

Key features

Detailed batting and bowling

WCC3 offers a large set of batting shots, chosen by swiping in a direction and timing the stroke, and bowling options including pace and spin variations, line and length. The animations are what the game is best known for.

Career mode

Create your own player, choose a role, and build a career from domestic cricket upward, with stats that improve as you perform. It's a different experience from playing as a whole team.

Tournaments and NPL

Play world tournaments and the NPL franchise league, with schedules, points tables and knockouts. NPL 2026 is the current season after this update.

Commentary

Matches have commentary in several languages, adding a lot of atmosphere to big chases and close finishes. You can pick the commentary language in the game's settings, and turn it off if you prefer playing to the crowd noise alone.

Watch the bowler's line before choosing a shot direction: leave or defend balls outside off stump early in your innings. Time your swipe as the ball arrives rather than as it's released.
