APKPeer is an Android app directory run by the APKPeer Dev Team. Each page covers one app or game: what it does, the latest version and when it was released, what changed, how to install it if your phone doesn't have Google Play, and whether it's safe to use.
Why APKPeer exists
Search for almost any popular Android app followed by "APK" and you'll find pages offering "mod", "premium unlocked" or "unlimited coins" builds. Many of those files are repackaged with adware or worse, and online games ban accounts that use them. People still search for APKs for good reasons: their phone has no Play Store, an update isn't available in their country yet, or they want to roll back a version that broke something.
APKPeer is for those people. We point you to the original app from its real developer, give you the facts you need to check it, and say plainly when something isn't safe.
What we list, and what we don't
We list free and paid Android apps and games in their original form. Download buttons go to Google Play or the developer's own website. When we host an APK file ourselves, it's an unmodified copy whose signing certificate matches the developer's official build, and the page shows both fingerprints so you can check it.
We never list or link to modified APKs, cracked paid apps, cheats or mod menus, apps built to stream pirated films or sport, or unofficial clones of apps such as WhatsApp and Instagram. Our editorial policy explains these rules in detail.
How we choose apps
We cover apps that a lot of people search for, starting with the ones readers ask about most. Before publishing, we check that the app is still available from its developer and that we can verify the basic facts from an official source. If we can't confirm a fact, such as the minimum Android version, we leave it off the page rather than guess.
Who's behind the site
APKPeer is written and maintained by the APKPeer Dev Team. We aren't affiliated with Google or with the developers we cover, apart from labelled affiliate partnerships with some licensed gambling operators, and developers don't pay to be listed. The site is funded by advertising and, for some licensed gambling apps, by clearly labelled affiliate links. Neither affects what we write about an app.
