Privacy policy

This policy explains what information APKPeer ("we", "us"), run by the APKPeer Dev Team, collects when you visit apkpeer.com, how it's used, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us through the contact form.

What we collect

You don't need an account to use APKPeer, and we don't ask for your name, email address or phone number unless you contact us.

  • Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic request data: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept for a limited time.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or country), device and browser type, and how long you stay. We don't use it to identify you personally.
  • Advertising cookies. See the next section.
  • Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, the name, email address, topic and message you enter are sent to us through Web3Forms, a form-processing service that delivers them to our inbox. If you email us directly, we receive your message the same way as any email. We keep messages so we can reply and follow up, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
  • Free tools. Our online tools, such as the image converter, QR code generator and scanner, file hash checker and password generator, run entirely in your browser. Files, images, camera video and text you use with them are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or stored.
  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

Advertising and Google AdSense

APKPeer uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

If ads are shown to you without personalization, Google still uses cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fighting fraud and abuse.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are used, through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the privacy settings link shown on the page. Until you consent, ad and ad-measurement storage stays switched off.

How we use information

We use the information above to run and secure the site, understand which pages are useful, show ads that fund the site, and reply to your messages. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it except with the service providers named here (our hosting provider, Web3Forms for the contact form, Google Analytics and Google AdSense) or when the law requires it.

App pages link to Google Play, developer websites and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for how they handle your data. APK files we host are served from our download server, which keeps the same kind of basic logs described above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we don't run user accounts, the main personal data we could hold is the content of messages you've sent us. To make a request, contact us through the contact form and tell us what you'd like us to do. We'll respond within 30 days.

Children

APKPeer isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our practices change, for example if we add a new analytics or advertising provider. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
