What is Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Pokémon TCG Pocket is a mobile game about collecting Pokémon cards and playing fast card battles. Every day you can open free booster packs with a satisfying swipe, building a digital collection that includes beautifully illustrated cards and "immersive" cards you can zoom into. When you want to play, you build a 20-card deck and battle the computer or other players in matches that take a few minutes.

Decks have 20 cards. Instead of Energy cards, an Energy Zone gives you one Energy each turn automatically. First to score three points, earned by knocking out Pokémon, wins. Battles are short enough to play on a commute.

Rare cards include alternative art, full art and immersive cards that turn into animated scenes when you open them.

Trading and friends

Add friends, share your collection in a binder, and trade cards within the game's trading rules.

Events and battles

Events offer missions, special Wonder Picks and promo cards. Ranked matches and solo battles reward you with items.

Tips for collectors and players

• Open packs on time. Don't let your pack timer sit full; open packs as soon as they're ready.
• Do daily missions. They give Pack Hourglasses and Shop Tickets.
• Use Wonder Pick on rare cards. Spend Wonder Stamina on picks containing cards you really want.
• Build around strong ex Pokémon. Two copies of a strong ex Pokémon plus support cards make an easy starter deck.
• Play solo battles first. They teach the rules and give rewards before you try ranked play.
• Save Shinedust. It's used for trading and flairs, so don't spend it all at once.
