What is Call of Duty: Mobile?

Call of Duty: Mobile brings Activision's famous shooter series to phones. It packs classic multiplayer maps from earlier Call of Duty games, such as Nuketown, Crash and Firing Range, into fast 5v5 matches, plus a 100-player battle royale mode and rotating special modes. Weapons, perks, scorestreaks and operators can all be customised.

Activision released the game in September 2019, developed with TiMi Studio Group. It has passed 100 million downloads on Google Play and is one of the action games we list, alongside PUBG Mobile and Free Fire.

What's new in Call of Duty Mobile 1.0.57

The latest Call of Duty Mobile APK on Google Play is version 1.0.57, updated on September 1, 2026. Activision's release notes on Play list:

  • A new themed season with 50 tiers of rewards in the Battle Pass.
  • New content: new maps, characters, themed events and modes.
  • Bug fixes and technical improvements.

Seasons usually run for several weeks, and mid-season content often arrives as downloads inside the game rather than a new Play update.

Key features

Multiplayer

5v5 modes include Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Kill Confirmed, played on maps fans of the series will recognise. Ranked multiplayer adds competitive seasons.

Battle royale

Drop onto a large map with up to 100 players, alone or in squads. Choose a class with a special ability, loot weapons, and be the last team standing. Vehicles and airdrops add variety.

Loadouts and Gunsmith

Build custom loadouts with primary and secondary weapons, perks, equipment and scorestreaks. Gunsmith lets you change attachments to suit your play style.

Seasons and events

Each season brings a Battle Pass, new weapons, maps and limited modes. Events give free rewards for completing challenges.

Controls

Choose simple mode (automatic firing when aiming at enemies) or advanced mode for full control. Customise the layout, sensitivity and gyroscope aiming in settings.

Tips for new players

  • Try both control modes. Simple mode helps at first; advanced mode gives more control later.
  • Customise your HUD. Move buttons so your thumbs reach jump, crouch and fire comfortably.
  • Adjust graphics for smooth frame rate. A steady frame rate matters more than high detail.
  • Learn a few maps. Knowing spawn points and sightlines wins more fights than aim alone.
  • Download only the packs you play. In settings, skip maps and modes you don't use to save storage.
  • Mute strangers if needed. Voice chat can be switched off or limited to friends.

How to install Call of Duty: Mobile APK on Android

The easiest option is Call of Duty: Mobile on Google Play.

  1. Check that your phone runs Android 7.0 or newer.
  2. Open Google Play, search for Call of Duty: Mobile, and make sure the developer is Activision Publishing, Inc..
  3. Tap Install, then open the game. The game downloads extra resources on first launch, so use Wi-Fi and keep several gigabytes free.
  4. Sign in or link an account in the game's settings, so your progress is saved if you change phones.

Without Google Play, install the official game carefully: get it only from Google Play or the developer, allow your browser or file manager to Install unknown apps when Android asks, then turn that permission off again under Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps. Online games need the latest version, so outside Play you'll have to update by hand. APKPeer currently links to Google Play only and doesn't host a file for this game.

Is Call of Duty Mobile APK safe?

The official Call of Duty: Mobile from Google Play is safe. It's published by Activision Publishing, Inc., rated Mature 17+ for violence, blood and strong language, contains ads, and offers in-app purchases from $0.99 to $99.99 per item.

  • Cheats and modified APKs. Aimbots, wallhacks and modified versions aren't from Activision. They often carry malware, and Activision's anti-cheat bans accounts permanently.
  • Free COD Points scams. Sites offering free CP or skins steal accounts. Real rewards only come through the game or official events.
  • Chat with strangers. Limit voice and text chat in settings, and report abusive players.
  • Age rating. The Mature 17+ rating means it's not suitable for younger players.

Call of Duty Mobile vs alternatives

  • PUBG Mobile focuses on realistic battle royale with large maps.
  • Free Fire is lighter, with shorter matches and lower phone requirements.
  • Blood Strike is a newer free shooter with battle royale and fast multiplayer modes.

For console-style shooter action on a phone, Call of Duty: Mobile is one of the most complete games available. Set up your controls and graphics first, and download only the content packs you actually play.
